
Melissa Vail is currently a member of MA TOD as the designated representative of SINAI HOSPITAL ADDICTIONS RECOVERY PROGRAM (SHARP). She has 24 years of experience in behavior health and 18 years in MAT specifically. She has been employed at SHARP since 2010 in the positions of outpatient therapist, coordinator for the co-occurring disorder team, and clinical manager. Her duties at SHARP include overseeing daily operations of the program, supervision of program staff, and community outreach.
Before working at SHARP, Melissa worked 11 years at Glenwood Life Counseling Center in the positions of addictions counselor, assistant clinical director, and clinical director. She is a licensed clinical professional counselor and received her MS in Applied Psychology from University of Baltimore in 2000 and her BS in Psychology from Penn State in 1995. Melissa enjoys working on issues such as treating trauma and mood disorders in substance use treatment patients. Her current work at SHARP is focused on expanding substance use services for Sinai Hospital and Lifebridge Health.
